The basic philosophy he chose is 'humanism'. He argues that worldly life is temporary and that materialism in mortal life is the most harmful element in human relations. In Mevlana's view, the most important thing is 'being human' and 'acting humanely' throughout life. In his works, he often writes with his words and various stories that loving people is the same as loving the whole universe and loving God. For Mevlana, the most important thing is always tolerance.

According to Mevlana, it is necessary to understand that a person who has love for the Creator instead of fear of the Creator is rewarding rather than punishing. When we bring these together, according to Mevlevi, an individual who has true faith takes care of those who believe in other religions as well. At the same time, Mevlana is a Muslim who has fully embraced the science of Sufism.
