According to Yunus Emre, religion; is to adopt a lifestyle that brings happiness, peace and tranquility to humanity. There is love and affection in Yunus Emre's understanding of religion. Living your whole life within the framework of this love, love and tolerance is undoubtedly one of the most effective ways of happiness. He opposes formalistic piety, worship performed for show, and the religion of people who pretend to be Muslims who are blindly attached to religion. For him, worship is a secret between a person and God. No one should question this secret. Religion also contains conscience. He argues that feelings such as conscience, compassion and mercy should be found.
His ultimate goal in Sufism is to reach divine love. Yunus, who argues that some levels must be passed in order to reach the divine essence, these levels are respectively; He says that there is sharia, tariqa, ingenuity and truth. Yunus sees the maqam of ingenuity as a science. He considers this science as a spiritual science and argues that it is hidden in the hearts. According to him, a dervish should not attach importance to material things, should not be busy with worldly affairs, and should be modest.
